RooL ART is not just a shop for skating products: in this short article, we explain what we offer you more.

Brief history of RooL ART

rdskatesRooL ART is a trademark of GOinnova Srl, a young Italian company specialized in the design, prototyping and production of innovative equipment for sports use. Since 2019, we have decided to specialize in roller sports: we have developed numerous prototypes of quad skates having in mind the idea that it is possible to offer lighter and more performing tools than the existing ones, which in most cases follow the classic design, on the market for at least 70 years. After two years, and after many tests, we are now certain that it is a feasible thing. In the meantime, we have improved our knowledge and developed innovative manufacturing techniques: we want our skates to be affordable for everyone.
We have also worked hard on other fronts: our product line - sold under the RDSkates brand - includes several technical items, appreciated for their originality and quality.
In parallel, we have acquired the necessary authorizations for the distribution of the most important brands in the professional quad skates sector of inline and ice skating: Roll Line, Edea, MK, John Wilson, Jackson Ultima, Bont etc., in addition to a large series of high-level brands for skating clothing and accessories.

But we didn't stop there.

Our exclusive services

At RooL ART we think that it is not enough to be a skating products shop: if you are a skater, we want to offer you more. We have decided to focus on services, because we are convinced that roller skating is a sport in which ample room for improvement is still available from a technical point of view, also by focusing on the quality of the equipment.

If you are a skater interested in expressing yourself to the best of your ability, here are some examples of what we can do for you:

Footwear adaptation

The skating shoes, and in particular the figure skating boots, are artisanal products, made in small series, with care and dedication, by specialized companies. However, they are standard products - they don't necessarily fit your foot as they come out of the factory. In particular, what we see happening more often is that athletes, in order to have a sufficient level of comfort, use larger footwear than necessary. This is a big problem, both due to the reduced sensitivity that a boot that is too large entails, and because this forces the use of a shoe that is too large, with the support points out of the ideal position. Here is the classic imprint left by the foot on the inner sole, when the boot is too big:

Is it possible to solve this problem? We are able to do it: our procedure consists in defining the correct size of the boot, accurately measuring your foot. Next, we adapt the boot to your needs, widening it where necessary and thermoforming it. In the end, we want you to feel like a glove when you wear it. The result is that your foot will correctly fill the boot and the shoe that we will associate with it will be of the correct size, with the push points perfectly aligned with the key points of your feet.

After some time using the boots we made for you, we want to see a print like this!

If necessary, we can adapt your boots in several steps, even after you have mounted them on the skates: we take the time it takes! We can help you reduce the pressure exerted by the upper on areas of the foot that are inflamed or have other problems.

Assembling, done the right way

Your skates and footwear are expensive products: incorrect assembly can seriously compromise your chances from a technical point of view. Generally, a correct assembly requires a careful study and measurement of the footwear which, as already mentioned, are handcrafted products. Often, we see skates mounted following the wrong reference points, such as the sewing lines of the upper: this is a sign that the technique behind the construction of a shoe has not been understood and that the importance of correct alignment between your foot and the skate. To solve the problem, thanks to the accumulated experience, we have built templates that allow us to trace the correct reference line on the sole of any boot and to proceed with the scientific method. Furthermore, to drill the holes for the mounting screws, we always use precision mechanical centering devices, able to guarantee the accuracy of the delicate drilling operation. The internal countersinks are made with precision countersinks and depth limiter, never with the tip of a drill, to ensure perfect support of the head of the passing screws. All screws are cut to size and ground, to ensure the absence of burrs, which could injure the athlete's hands, and painted with anti-rust, to avoid oxidation of the exposed steel. To avoid unscrewing the nuts, we use quality self-locking nuts or Loctite threadlockers, proven solutions from the mechanical industry.
Moral of the story: to assemble a pair of skates we usually take no less than an hour and a half: on the other hand, these are expensive products and intended for demanding athletes. If you want to try a perfectly assembled skate, we are at your disposal.

Maintenance

If you want to skate at the top, your skates require maintenance. Replacement of worn tip seats, adjustment of the tips, greasing of the rubber pads, are some of the interventions that, if carried out periodically, guarantee you the possibility of skating with a tool at maximum efficiency. The continuous use of a skate means that you do not notice the gradual deterioration in performance, which nevertheless exists, and is important.
Some of these operations require special equipment: for example, the tips are locked in place with a rather powerful anaerobic adhesive (thread locker): to remove it without damaging the cruises, it is necessary to use special techniques, which we have developed and tested for a long time.

For your boots, we have developed a series of procedures, which allow us, for example, to repair the abrasions of the upper, to deodorize and sanitize them with ozone, to seal the holes present due to a previous assembly, etc.

Customization

We are able to customize many products, for example by applying rhinestones with a heat press on fabrics, semi-rigid and rigid surfaces; or we can powder paint your frames and your cruises in the color you want; or we can create for you structures of any type in composite material, with carbon fibers, kevlar, etc., as single pieces or small series; or we can design and manufacture mechanical parts in aluminum alloys, steel and plastic materials, even as single pieces or small series, or design equipment of any type, for example for a specific training need.

We are not just a shop for skating products: we are the skating specialists.
